Healdsburg Bathroom Remodel Project

This Healdsburg bathroom started with a sliding glass shower door, brown tones, and patterned vinyl flooring that had run its course. We stripped it down to the studs and rebuilt everything new, tub, toilet, vanity, tile, and fixtures. The tub/shower combo got a full subway tile surround with a corner shelf for shampoo and soap, keeping the window in place to hold onto the natural light. Underfoot, we set a black and white mosaic tile floor that carries the modern traditional look through the whole room. A dark wood vanity with a quartz or solid-surface top and an undermount sink replaced the old counter, and oil-rubbed bronze fixtures tie the hardware together. The client wanted a recessed niche in the shower, but budget didn't allow for it on this job. That's part of the trade-off in any remodel: matching what's possible to what's wanted. The corner shelf does the job without the extra cost of reworking the wall cavity. Everything else in this bathroom is new, and it shows.
