This Santa Rosa outdoor kitchen sits on a redwood deck built to carry real cooking equipment, not just a table and chairs. The cabinetry is stainless steel, chosen for a reason: it holds up to weather without the maintenance headaches of painted or wood-faced units. A granite countertop ties the run together and gives a durable surface for prep work right next to the grill. The layout includes a built-in gas grill with a vent hood mounted above it to pull smoke and heat away from the house, a sink for cleanup without trips back inside, and stainless drawers for storage. Everything is built into the deck framing rather than dropped on top, so the kitchen reads as part of the house, not an add-on. We started this project with the deck itself, setting joists and decking in redwood before the kitchen components went in. Cabinet lead times ran long during COVID-19 supply chain delays, but the wait didn't change the build quality. What's out there now is finished, functional, and built to handle regular use season after season.
