Petaluma Redwood Deck Project

This redwood deck sits off a Petaluma home, built to handle daily use and North Bay weather. The decking runs on an angled layout across the platform, and an attached pergola with a wood slat roof shades the space without blocking the view of the garden beds along the yard. Wild Hog metal railing panels wrap the open sides of the deck. The wire mesh infill keeps sightlines open to the landscaping and street while meeting code for fall protection — a cleaner look than standard wood balusters, with hardware that holds up over time.
