Santa Rosa Composite Deck Project

1,900 sq ft Trex composite deck in Santa Rosa: tree removal, new framing, stairs, and handrails. Built by Soulié Construction, CA Lic #988269.

The build

1,900 SF Trex Composite Deck

This Santa Rosa project started with a tree removal to open up the yard, then moved into a full framing build for a 1,900 square foot deck. Wood framing went in first, cut and set to carry the load before a single deck board hit the joists. That groundwork matters most on a deck this size, where an even, square frame keeps the whole structure honest for years. On top of the framing, we installed Trex composite decking in a warm brown tone, running clean lines across the full span. Stairs and handrails tie the deck down to grade with matching composite treads, so the transition from deck to yard reads as one continuous build instead of an add-on. At 1,900 square feet, this is one of the larger composite decks we've built in Sonoma County. It's a straightforward job done right: clear the site, frame it square, and finish with a low-maintenance decking material that will hold up to North Bay weather without the upkeep of wood.
