Sebastopol Deck Project

This Sebastopol project called for more than a standard deck. The site needed an elevated walkway to bridge a grade change, so we built a raised structure in Redwood and Tiger wood, set on posts anchored to concrete footings for a stable, long-term foundation. The walkway carries a full railing system on both sides and ties into a set of steps down to grade. Redwood decking gives the surface warmth and durability, while the Tiger wood accents add contrast and toughness where the structure sees the most wear. Every post support was set plumb and true before decking went down, so the walkway carries weight evenly and stays solid underfoot. Work like this is as much about the framing underneath as the wood you see. Footings, posts, and railing all have to line up before the finish decking goes on. This project is complete and standing on a residential property in Sebastopol, built to hold up to Sonoma County weather and years of daily use.
